Other Activities

This activity is reserved only to students already in possess of the Italian requirement (B1 level).*

It consists in a curricular internship (3 ECTS = 75 hours) to be taken in the second year. Students can find a host organization for a curricular internship by:

Asking a company you know to establish a partnership with the university through the Almalaurea Portal, or
Applying to job postings published on the websites of the respective faculties (if available), or
Applying for curricular internship opportunities posted by companies on the Almalaurea announcements board.

At the end of the activity, the responsible person upon indication of the company tutor will provide an approval or non-approval of such activity and will register it.

*EU students and NON-EU students with a study title obtained abroad cannot include Other Activities in their study plan. Instead, they must include the 3ECTS Italian Language course and take it in the first year. These students are exempted to include the Italian Language course if: 1) they have a high school degree or bachelor of first level obtained in Italy; 2) they have a degree of Italian school abroad, 3) they have an Italian language certificate of B1 level.

Internship for experimental thesis

In order to activate the Thesis Internship, students must send the provided FORM through Filo Diretto at least 15 before the planned start date. Please check at this page which parts of the form need to be filled out based on the hosting institution (internal or external to UniPV).

You can do the Thesis Internship within the University laboratories or in external structures:

Laboratories external to the University of Pavia - ITALY

In agreement with your thesis supervisor that must be a teacher at the University of Pavia, you can perform your internship for the thesis (partially or entirely) in a laboratory outside the University of Pavia. In this case the head of the laboratory will be your thesis co-supervisor.

Laboratories external to the University of Pavia - ABROAD

You must find a foreign laboratory willing to host you for your thesis work, either independently or with the assistance of a faculty member from the University of Pavia. The head of the foreign laboratory will act as your thesis co-supervisor, while your University of Pavia faculty member will serve as your primary supervisor.

PLEASE NOTE: In case of a thesis internship carried out within the framework of an Erasmus mobility (Study or Traineeship), you must refer to the International Mobility Office.
